Julia and Carly made last minute plans to organize a bike parade. They made wonderful flyers and handed them out on the 3rd. To amazement, children decorated their bikes and had a Parade in the neighborhood. Happy 4th!

It is hard to believe that we became from being Florida residents to Colorado residents in July 2009. We all loved living in the panhandle of Florida for over four years. Needless to say, we have grown attached to Colorado and the natural beauty it possesses. We especially like the mountains.

In addition to our daily activities in Colorado, we like to get away at times to some of the near by sites. Alex, Julia, and Tyler are very active just like their mommy & daddy and love the outdoors by either hiking at the area state parks or camping in the mountains. Alex is surrently begging for a big dog to take along on the longer hikes. We love our pugs but they get tuckered around the 2 mile mark.

Alex (12) is enjoying middle school and loves the challenges it presents. In addition to striving for A's in her "talented" courses, she is perfecting soccer in her spare time. Currently, she is on a Castle Rock Elite competitive soccer team which consists of all girls. Other than school & soccer, she loves to hang-out with her friends, listen/play with her IPOD Touch & text her friends.

Julia (9) is enjoying the fourth grade. She transitioned very easily from the Tallahassee school district. Julia is starting to enjoy reading her books without being it a chore. In addition to her schoolwork, she finds time to play volleyball and participate in Jr. Girl Scouts and soccer. She amazes us in that she loves sports. Now, she is talking about playing flag football when she gets to middle school and be a cheerleader someday.

Tyler (4 going on 10) wants to be part of the gang. Even though he just turned 4, he feels like he can do anything... and gets REALLY mad if you do it for him. Talk about your independent type. He wants to do it all. He currently goes to preschool M-Th for 2 1/2 hrs a day at Julia's elementary school. He loves his class & knowing that his big sister is at the same school. His favorite things to do include playing PS3, wrestling with dad, kissing mom, and tormenting his sisters. Tyler loves playing soccer just like his bigger sisters. So, mommy & daddy enrolled him on a soccer team. It took some time to teach him that he should not "tackle" the soccer ball. His first game will be an interesting one. Tyler's daddy & mommy still argue on if he should play football when he gets older. Mommy is thinking "lacrosse?"
